San Diego is a beautiful place. It is certainly different from Los Angeles. I have driven there a few times and enjoyed myself each time. There are a ton of fun things to do in San Diego, that I could be here for awhile. Here are a few fun things I enjoyed.
San Diego Zoo

The San Diego Zoo is pretty infamous. It is pretty up there as far as attractions go. It is huge and you definitely need comfortable shoes. I felt like I was walking around a theme park minus the rides. There are over 3,500 animals, so there is so much to see. To see certain animals lines formed, I skipped those areas. Some of the animals looked lethargic and just laid there. Others were very lively and fun to watch.
Balboa Park

The San Diego Zoo is located in the park. This park is huge at 1,200 acres and I haven’t seen the entire thing. There are so many things to do in this park it would take several visits. It is beautiful and has so many places to take an amazing photo. Besides the Zoo, San Diego Museum of Art, San Diego Museum of Man, a Japanese Friendship Garden, the San Diego Air & Space Museum, and so much more. I also saw a quinceanera going on in the park.
Gaslamp Quarter

There are some amazing restaurants and nightlife to be found in this 16 block historic area. It is a very lively area and with tons of people enjoying their meals in beautiful weather. There are also museums to see, boutiques to indulge your shopaholic ways, venues, and more. There is even a Wet Willies. I really enjoyed walking around and taking in all the sights. The Gaslamp Quarter has its own enjoyable personality.
San Diego Bay Walk

I actually found this place by accident. I am very happy to have stumbled upon it. It is gorgeous. The views are beautiful. It looks like a little town with restaurants and little shops. There were people out flying kites, walking, running, biking, and more. You can also find the USS Midway Museum, the Star of India, and more. I had a fun time walking around and grabbing a bite to eat. A gentleman doing caricature also drew a picture of me. I had never had one and thought it was pretty cool.

I am looking forward to going back to San Diego and exploring even more. Looking for more to do in California? Look no further, then right here.

Have you ever done any of these activities? What experience did you have?

June 15, 2015 at 8:03 AMSan Diego is really great place to be, but if you are near Oceanside consider visiting one of the most beautiful California Missions – San Luis Rey. That is amazing historic place where you can learn everything regarding California history.
