App Of The Month: Dayuse.com

Have you ever needed a hotel room for the day? Maybe you needed some rest,  wanted access to a hotel pool, or you will be in town for the day and just want a place to nap, shower, and go. Well of course there is an app for that. Of course it is free! Dayuse.com is the app for you!

Dayuse.com is also a website. If for some reason you can’t get the app or don’t want to use it then go ahead and log on to their website. There are over 3,000 hotels that can be booked worldwide. Luxury, boutique, and budget friendly hotels can be found. The prices are also typically lower because you are only staying during the day rather than overnight.

When booking you don’t pay till you get to the hotel. This leaves you worry free about putting your credit card information into another app or website. They also allow you to cancel up until the last-minute. Even better is you have the opportunity to use all the amenities the hotel has to offer until your time is up to leave.

They give information about the hotel, amenities, location, directions to the hotel, and more. You choose the hotel and time frame blocks they have available. Some hotels you are even able to add-on extras for an additional cost such as chocolates, champagne, and more to be in your room when you arrive.

I haven’t used the app yet, but I would certainly give it a go if I need a hotel room for a short period of time. You may have a really long layover and want a place for a nap and shower. Need to get some extra sleep and have a mini staycation. It can even be used to have your own workspace outside of your house for a few hours. Sometimes a change of environment helps with the creative flow.

Have you ever used Dayuse.com?

Can definitely see myself using this app. And being able to cancel close to check-in, and being quoted competitive pricing is a major plus. Much needed article. Thanks again.

There have been many occasions when we have landed in a new city and felt the need for a hotel just for a few hours to freshen up. The fact that we would be charged for the full day ensured that we managed with airport lounges. The Dayuse app really looks promising in this regard. And surely a relief to thousands of travelers.

That is how I have felt. Even if you had a long layover and wanted to do something and then freshen up or relax a bit. Rather than the lounge.

Thanks for the info! I do need to find a hotel for a nap, shower and refresh when I am in transit. sometimes less than a day but long enough to get around instead of just staying @ the airport lounge. I will keep this in mind

That is always something that can come in handy when in transit. Yea sometimes staying at the lounge all day, I would rather be in a more relaxing environment. Especially when I have sat in a lounge all day.

What a great idea especially if its available at the airports you fly into and out of. The app seems seems straightforward to use as this idea grows legs

This app does look interesting. The app seems very thoughtful about the stopover for short duration travelers. I usually use airbnb or booking.com nowadays for booking, but I would love to explore this too!

I think this would be a great app to try out and see how it goes. Especially for a short stop over.
