Krave It in Bayside, New York

I don’t recall how I heard of this place, I do remember finding the menu on the internet and immediately telling my friend we need to go. The menu items looked pretty cool and unique. Krave It is a sandwich shop and eatery also serving pizza, beer, and more. I held on to the menu in my browser for a while and when we finally got the opportunity to go we were both pretty amped.

Krave It is located on Bell Blvd. in Bayside, Queens. There are plenty of places to eat, shop, and hang in the area. They are one of the few that stay open very late. We easily found parking. The restaurant is family owned and getting ready to celebrate its 2 year anniversary. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere inside Krave It was vibrant. They were playing great music and I loved the murals on the wall as well as the chalk art menu.

Our main reason for going to Krave It was to try their speciality pizzas. They have so many it was hard to choose from the menu. Of course they have cheese, pepperoni, and margarita pizza, but we didn’t go there for that even though I am a sucker for a good margarita. Looking at the menu and the pizza didn’t make choosing very easy. We did find out we didn’t have to order by the pie as the menu suggests, but could get slices.

I could be here all day telling you all the speciality pizzas they have. One that stood out was called the Homer Simpson. The pizza has homemade meatballs, glazed donut, bacon, maple syrup, and jack cheddar cheese. We were full from what we ordered and didn’t get around to that. If you want general tso chicken or brussel sprouts on your pizza they have got you covered! I also love the names of all the food they sell. They have great creativity!

While attempting to decide what to order we were given the Mactastic to try, which is their number one selling pizza. It is 4 cheese mac and cheese with chipotle sauce, and fresh cilantro. I was a little hesitant, but it was really good. The chipotle sauce kicked in, I had no water yet, but I held it down!

We then ordered some root beer honey bbq wings and the Krave It FCW, which is deep fried chicken, homemade waffles, sharp cheddar cheese, with maple syrup. Lifting it up to eat you can smell the syrup and taking a bite, it was so delicious. I am not the biggest fan of root beer, but the wings were delicious as well and came with celery. I loved how they served it in a bowl.

Of course we had to get dessert, Fried Oreo Pizza! That was absolutely delicious. My first bite was filled with Oreos. They don’t skimp on ingredients whatsoever. We had all our slices cut in half, so the actual slices are a great size, giving you even more ingredients then you would have expected. The speciality pizza slices are $4.50 each and worth it!

I will definitely go back. They have so many things to try and I want some more Fried Oreo Pizza. Even if you just want a beer, salad, or a sandwich, Krave It is the place. I also saw they have Sunday brunch with a DJ. I will have to go back and check that out! If you are ever in Bayside, Queens, or even the NYC area for that matter, you must stop by!
