Review: Premier Inn Abu Dhabi International Airport

There are so many amazing hotels in Abu Dhabi it is pretty hard to choose one. Each one has its own uniqueness to it. Knowing that I didn’t have much time in Abu Dhabi, I decided to go with the Premier Inn Abu Dhabi International Airport Hotel. I would soon find out this was a great choice.

Location

In case you couldn’t tell by the name of the hotel, it is located at the airport. Not outside the airport, but actually next to the terminals. This was pretty awesome for a few reasons! There are no street addresses in the UAE, so it being in the airport makes it very easy to find. Getting a taxi is easy since the airport has an abundance of them. The Premier Inn is connected to terminal 1 and 3 so there was no hassle, just a 5 minute walk to the ticket counter. The hotel is also close to some great places to see in Abu Dhabi. Ferrai World Abu Dhabi, Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque, and Yas Island.

Arriving at the Premier Inn we were greeted by many friendly faces at the front desk.  The gentleman who checked us in was extremely nice and offered to give us a room that he really liked. He gave us a map with all the sights to see on it. The hotel was very clean and modern. There was a restaurant in the lobby area as well as a place to get coffee and pastries.

Next to the coffee shop were the stairs and elevator to the terminals. I thought it was pretty awesome to be able to reach the terminals from the hotel without going outside. There were also places to eat and a little grocery store when walking towards the terminals. It was very easy to grab a few things and head back to the room with it.

Rooms

I found out the hotel is environmental friendly in a few different ways. One of these ways is how the electricity in the room turns on and off. In order for anything in the room to turn on the key card must be placed in a slot. When you leave the room you take your key card out and everything turns off.

The room the gentleman at the front desk gave us was the family size room. It was a very nice big room that had 3 beds. Although there was 2 of us and 3 beds weren’t needed, it was nice to spread out. The room is great for a family or a group of people traveling. The man from the front desk called the room to make sure we were OK and enjoying the room. I thought that was amazing customer service.

The room had a coffee and tea maker. There was also a nice array of coffees and teas. There was also a nice size refrigerator, mugs, and water. The bathroom had shower gels, a hairdryer, and a bidet. There was a nice flat screen TV on the wall. As I was looking around the room and I noticed there was an arrow on the ceiling. The arrow was pointing to Mecca so that Muslims would know which direction to pray.

Hotels Amenities

The Premier Inn has complimentary wi-fi! It has a great signal as I had no trouble with it. On the rooftop there is a really nice pool and jacuzzi. Although I didn’t get the chance to go in, it looked very inviting. There was also a very nice deck with chairs, tables, and lounge chairs to kick back and relax!

It didn’t fit into our timing, but there is a complimentary shuttle bus. The bus goes to many attractions including the Corniche, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, and Yas Island. If you happen to rent a car there is free onsite parking. A nice gym can also be found so that guests can keep up with their workouts. As mentioned before they also have a restaurant and lounges. There are buffets or sit down dining. The food is really good. The portions are a great size! I was full when I left.

The Premier Inn Abu Dhabi International Airport is a really nice hotel. I would certainly stay there again. If you have a layover or looking for a nice hotel, this is definitely one to consider.
