Every year in April all the car companies come together under one roof at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City. Thousands come out to view what is coming out, concept cars, and more. I have gone many times to what us New Yorkers simply call ‘The Car Show.’ This time around I had the opportunity to get a sneak peek prior to it opening to the public.
I love seeing the many different cars designed from all around the world. One of the first things I noticed was there weren’t as many cars as in recent years. Still there was plenty to look at and many cars that caught my eye.
Of course the Yankees and Mets grabbed my attention. I loved the cityscape on the hood of the Yankees car. Being a Queens girls I had to give you all a look at the Mets car.
For all the outdoorsy people and travelers this was pretty awesome. Camping from the back of your SUV or truck.
I found a BMW and fell in love. I was surprised because the only two door car I have ever loved was a Lamborghini. It was love at first sight with this BMW, which I was told was a Snapple Rock Metallic Blue. I would love to drive this car around for a couple of days and really see what it can do.
Outside there was a road test set up that looked more like an obstacle course. Hoping in the Jeep Wrangler and taking a ride was a ton of fun.
Obviously the Bugatti was a show stopper.
There were a few concept cars, but this Toyota i-Rode stood out.
There was plenty to see, but I don’t want to give it all away. Head down to the New York International Auto Show while it is still in town till April 23rd. If you can’t make it you can see more for yourself in my video or there is always next year! Ticket prices are $17 for adults $7 for kids.
Have you ever been to the New York International Auto Show?
Thank you to the New York International Auto Show for the invite. All opinions are my own.
