Albuquerque, New Mexico has a lot to offer. Besides Breaking Bad, Albuquerque is also known for their annual Balloon Fiesta, which was my reason for visiting. I really wanted the opportunity to explore the city. I was only able to see a small fraction of it, but what I did see and do I enjoyed.
The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta has been on my radar for quite some time. I have seen countless photos of the beautiful balloons floating in the sky. Taking a hot air balloon ride has always been on my list of things I want to do. When I got the opportunity to attend the festival, I had to take it!
I always say trust the locals when looking for a great place to eat. Thus far they haven’t failed me. While walking around Old Town Albuquerque, I walked into a store. After I was done looking around I spoke to one of the owners, who just happened to be from my hometown of Queens, New York! When I asked him for a recommendation of where to eat, he suggested a place that was 2 minutes away from his store, Church Street Cafe.
Staying in Cancun, Mexico was awesome and the weather was fantastic! Upon arrival we bypassed all the people flagging you down at the airport for rides and headed straight to a known taxi/van service. After a short ride we finally arrived at the Grand Oasis Hotel. The hotel is all-inclusive. They have several other properties that you can get shuttled to as well.
