Seatguru by Tripadvisor
This month the app that I have gravitated towards is Seatguru by Tripadvisor. There is also a website www.seatguru.com
The app is free. So far I have only used it to learn about different seats on different flights for my friends and I. It is really accurate and uses reviews from passengers who have sat in the same seat. It is very simple, all you have to do is enter the airline, flight number, and your departure date.
If you tap a seat it will tell you if it has good, mixed, or bad reviews and why it received that review. I tried it out on a flight I was going on and it told me that my seat was a preferred seat, but that there was no arm rest on the right and the seat felt paper-thin. It also said it was an exit row, but the seat would go back.
It was very accurate. I had a lot of leg room, there was no arm rest on the right, and my butt hurt the entire time.
The app also allows you to find flights by doing a price compare.
The other feature I really like is that it gives you the flight status of so many airlines. Before I would have to download different apps or go on the web to check flight statuses, but now I can do that all in one app.
You can post photos and add which airline so people can get a visual and have better judgement as well. If you decide you have your own review for a seat you sat in you can type away on the app and let them know so others can read your reviews.
All in all it was a pretty great find for an app and I will certainly be using it more and more.
