Eating at Yolk in Chicago, IL
There are so many great places to indulge your taste buds in Chicago. Arriving in the morning and being very hungry, we had to find something good to eat. A gentleman working the front desk of Hotel Felix recommend a great place to get breakfast, Yolk. He also informed us that Yolk has won awards and we would not be disappointed.
Yolk was a short walk from the hotel. When we walked in I noticed an egg yolk etched in glass. I thought it was cute. As we walked in I noticed the yellow and blue color scheme which I instantly loved. We were seated in a booth right away. There was ample places to sit and it was very spacious.
The waiter was very attentive and friendly. He had an infectious happy attitude that I am sure rubbed off on everyone he waited on. The menu was pretty big and had a lot to choose from. It was so hard to decide what to eat. The menu had so many amazing items to choose from.

After flipping the menu over several times and trying to decide what to get we finally ordered. More and more people started coming in as we waited for our breakfast to arrive. The food came pretty quickly which was awesome since we were hungry.

The food was so delicious. I only wish they had put the strawberries and bananas inside the crepe. I had to try to put it together myself to eat. The french toast also tasted really good. The food was not only delicious, but also affordable. I would certainly go back several more times to try out the many other items on their menu.
Yolk has also begun to open up in other cities! I highly recommend stopping in for some great breakfast or lunch when in Chicago. I know the next time I visit this will be my first stop!

Yummerssss!!!! This reminds me of my favorite dish at Silver Diner (caramel french toast and eggs with chicken sausage). Will definitely keep this in mind when I finally get back to Chi-town

In my pre-vegan days I spent a lot of time at Yolk although I prefer the Michigan ave location and I like Hotel Felix although when I had a staycation there, I had an unfortunate incident.

Geeeez, that menu is huge! And the strawberry crepe looks delicious. I hate choosing between tasty fruit crepes and a more traditional bacon and eggs meal. so this is perfect for me!
