It is that time of the year again. Time to watch scary movies, pick out a costume, go trick or treating, and all of that fun stuff. It is also time to hit up a haunted house! Now if you are going to do this you have to go to a good one and that means going toĀ Blood Manor in New York City.

I went to Blood Manor years ago and it is still the best haunted house in New York City. In fact it is considered one of the top premiere attractions in New York City for Halloween. Blood Manor is in its 11th year and has only gotten better. Usually there is an extremely long line. Not a regular long line, I mean down the block, around the corner, and down another block, long line. It is definitely the place to be.
This year theyĀ have introduced a revised time ticket entry system to reduce the wait time. They have also allowed for more flexibility arrival times. You can purchase tickets online or on site. There is a black trailer right in front to purchase tickets. Therefore when we arrived the line wasnāt as long as I have seen it in the past.
I donāt want to give it away, but I will say it was awesome. Blood Manor had us walking very quickly screaming and laughing a bit. I watched as others stood in corners scared. Blood Manor has 5,000 square feet of themed rooms, passageways, and more. They even had a 3D portion that was a cool and yet scary experience. It was so exciting that it felt like it ended quickly and I wanted to go through it again.

Blood Manor will show you what would happen if you and your friends were in a horror movie. I stood in a corner a few times and was left behind. Now I know in a zombie or ghoul situation it is every man for himself. I also heard someone scream like I had never heard before, but I wonāt throw any names out there!
Even after Halloween is over on Nov. 4th and 5th there will be Black Out Nights. On those nights you will be able to walk through Blood Manor with a glow stick and very limited lighting. I would love to go back and check that out as well. Ā So if you are in New York I highly recommend Blood Manor, you wonāt regret it. If you have young kids, under 14, I would be cautious about bringing them unless you are one of those parents who want to scare the heck out of their kids!
Blood Manor is located on 163 Varick St. New York, NY
Have you ever been to Blood Manor? How was your experience?

Disclaimer: Thank You to Blood Manor for having us. Whilst receiving an invitation all opinions and views are my own and have not been influenced.Ā

October 12, 2016 at 4:32 PMThis is so neat! I remember when I was younger I participated in all of the haunted houses horror shenanigans. It’s been quite some time since I’ve been to one though. I’m sure now that I have grandchildren my time will come once again with them and my daughter. I’m sure New York would be one to experience during this time. Thanks for sharing!

October 12, 2016 at 11:04 PMI’m such a scaredy cat! I’ve never been one to like horror movies or haunted houses but I must say the few I’ve been to have been pretty cheesy. Would be nice to have a more realistic one like this one seems to be.

October 14, 2016 at 7:15 PMI am not a big fan of horror movies, they mostly make me laugh. This one was fun.

October 13, 2016 at 10:16 AMI’m gonna go with nope, nah, and not me, lol! I used to love all sort of ghoulish things when I was younger, but now I’ve turned into a big scaredy cat. Glad to know there’s a place nearby if I decide I want to be terrified.

October 13, 2016 at 5:56 PMThis is not my ministry at all. I hate to be scared and I’m the biggest chicken there is. With that said I’m going to a haunted house on Sunday.

October 14, 2016 at 6:36 AMBloody Manor must be the equivalent to Netherworld here in Atlanta. I love a good haunted house but this looks extremely creepy! I am sure because in NYC the lines are outrageous but happy there is a system to make it easier.
Holly Dayz
October 14, 2016 at 7:33 PMYea. I always here about Netherworld and how I should come check it out.

October 15, 2016 at 12:36 AMLooks like a pretty scary attraction. I haven’t been to a haunted house in a long time. I think I will have to search to see if there is a decent one here in Calgary, and hope that is almost as good as Bloody Manor

October 17, 2016 at 6:52 PMIt was good fun. I hope you can find something. Otherwise one year you will have to make your way to New York.

October 15, 2016 at 10:46 AMWell, I don’t think I have the courage to this. We don’t have its equivalent in Bangalore yet, something smaller in scale is there though.

October 16, 2016 at 12:47 AMSounds like a scary place to go during Halloween. Haunted houses are a scream, especially when there are special effects. Don’t read any murder mysteries before going though.

October 17, 2016 at 6:54 PMIt was great. They did a good job.

October 16, 2016 at 5:48 AMBlood Manor looks like a great haunted house! We always love checking out haunted houses for Halloween–the scarier the better, lol! I would love to check out the Black Out Nights as well. Looks like we need to plan a trip to NYC soon!

October 16, 2016 at 5:50 AMI don’t like Halloween to be completely honest The dressing up and being scared thing does not thrill me – and your photos have me freaked out – never mind the thought of actually going to Blood Manor. You’re a braver gal than me!

October 17, 2016 at 2:24 AMAh, I have forgotten that Halloween is coming until reading your post! I wish we were celebrating in my country (or in Europe for that matter) that much as in the States. It is one of the most interesting and fun holidays when it comes to celebration. This haunted house looks like the perfect activity for the occasion! Would love to explore the themed rooms though I might be a bit scared to feel like in a horror movies with me in the leading role haha.
