If you know me, you have probably heard me talking about a Frrozen Hot Chocolate. Then go about attempting to explain what one is. It is one word..AMAZING! One of my favorite restaurants, where you can get this frozen treat is Serendipity 3.
Serendipity 3 also have some really good food, and other great desserts to choose from! They have a few different locations that include New York City, Florida, and Las Vegas (at Caesar’s Palace). It is a famous and well-loved restaurant for a reason, especially by me! The original one where it all started is in New York City on the East Side.
Serendipity is known for certain things…
1. For the celebrities that have walked in and out their doors. (Taylor Swift, Beyonce & Jay-Z, Katie Holmes, & Bill Clinton just to name a few)
2. The Guinness Book of World Records, for the $1000 Golden Opulence Sundae.

****Golden Opulence Sundae is made using three to five scoops of rich Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream infused with Madagascar vanilla and covered in 23k edible gold leaf. The chocolate syrup used is from melted Amedei Porcelana, one of the world’s most expensive chocolates; and covered with chunks of rare Chuao chocolate, which is from cocoa beans harvested by the Caribbean Sea on Venezuela’s coast. The sundae is then adorned with “exotic candied fruits from Paris, gold covered almonds/dragets, chocolate truffles and marzipan cherries.” Added to the dessert is a tiny glass bowl of Grand Passion Caviar, an exclusive dessert caviar, made of salt-free American Golden caviar, known for its sparkling golden color. It’s sweetened and infused with fresh passion fruit, orange and Armagnac. Edible gold leaf is made from pure gold that is compressed or rolled into very thin sheets that are only a few micrometers thick and contain no other metals or impurities. It is finally topped off with a gilded sugar flower and sprinkled with small flakes of more edible gold. ****
Not to mention, you need to make a reservation 48 hours in advance to get one!
However, I was told by the staff in Las Vegas you can get it the same day there.
3. Their Guinness Book of World Records again for the $295 Le Burger Extravagant, which is the world’s most expensive burger.

**** Le Burger Extravagant, contains Japanese Waygu beef, 10-herb white truffle butter, smoked Pacific sea salt, 18-month cheddar, shaved black truffles, a quail egg, and a white truffle-buttered roll. It is also French-sounding, making it that much fancier. But what really drives up the price is the solid gold, diamond-encrusted toothpick holding the whole thing together.****
4. The kitschy whimsical atmosphere in their restaurant (specifically New York City)

5. The lines out the door to get in.
6. The HUGE menu. Check it out at: http://www.serendipity3.com/food.htm

7. Last by certainly not least is their Frrrozen Hot Chocolate (you know this had to be on the list!)
If you are one of those people who loves to look for celebs then Serendipity 3 is a great place to start. Serendipity 3 in New York City has a very whimsical look to it. All the tables are and chairs are different. There are all kinds of kitschy things when you first walk in. It really is just something you have to see.
My absolute favorite thing is the Frrozen Hot Chocolate. If you have never had one you need to get one. It is amazing. They have also began to make different flavors. I was extremely happy to find out they have a Mint Frrrozen Hot Chocolate.

All their food and desserts are severed in big portions. So I suggest coming with an appetite. My favorite entrée is the lemon chicken and asparagus. It also comes with a salad which I absolutely love. It is so fresh and amazing. It makes me dance in my seat.

The atmosphere is very fun as well. Serendipity 3 Las Vegas is very hip with a full bar on deck. Either way you will enjoy the restaurant. Las Vegas also has a walk up window, so if you didn’t want to sit down you can order and keep going. They now even have a cookbook with their recipes including the Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, which Jackie O couldn’t even get.
So if you are in a city with a Serendipity 3, and looking for some great food or just some really good dessert, you should head over and delight your taste buds.
Have you ever had a Frrozen Hot Chocolate or been to Serendipity 3? Let me know what you ordered and how it was.

February 27, 2015 at 3:43 PMVery cool post. I wonder if the ‘rare’ Chuao chocolate is related to the company in San Diego of the same name. I sample their incredible creations often.
