EPISODE 6
Nashville, Tennessee is known for its music, food, and sports. Would you believe it is a place that tons of bachelorettes descend upon every year? How about a bunch of brides? On this episode I bring on a co-host actress/dancer Joanna Teris as we talk with Raina van Setter, owner of Wedding & Events Raina.
Raina shares with us how she got started as a wedding planner, her favorite type of weddings, and some interesting requests she has received. She also gives us some insight on the best time of year to have a Nashville wedding, the average cost of a wedding there, the many venues, and plenty more. If you are in the area and looking to have a wedding or thinking of having a destination wedding in Nashville, Tennessee then you will definitely want to tune in. Even if you just want to hear about her experiences, this is a fun episode.
JOANNA TERIS

Joanna Teris is a double threat actress and dancer born and raised in New York. A Queens native, she travels the world to find stories to tell. Starting in Los Angeles, she worked on the show I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant and the dating web-series Is It Me?. She then collaborated and created the comedy web-series Zoe and Chloe: Private Detectives for two seasons.
She traveled to New Orleans and filmed the horror film Alex & Me. Recently she played the lead in a companion relationship web-series. Following that Joanna booked her first theater production in NY: The Nature Room performed at the Signature Theater in Times Square.
Joanna continues to work and co-host with Holly in the Queens of the Borough vlogs. She most recently vlogged her latest adventure, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.
RAINA VAN SETTER

Raina van Setter has been planning weddings for as long as she can remember and likes to say she was “born into it,” since her mother was an event decor designer who also had her own company. Assisting her mother as a teenager and after graduating college, she began planning events and weddings on her own and has been in business for over 20 years. She credits her dedicated work ethic and determination to ensure that every single client gets top-notch service to learning from her entrepreneurial parents.

Weddings & Events by Raina’s tagline is “Say YES to less stress!” and Raina and her amazing team of planners mean every word. It is their primary goal for couples to relax and enjoy the entire process. They make this possible by carefully curating all the details of each event, keeping in constant communication with the selected vendors, creating a detailed timeline while fielding questions and concerns from all parties so they can simply bask in the glow of their engagement.
When asked what advice she would give to engaged couples, Raina advises to hire a wedding planner to build a cohesive vendor team, relax, and discuss your budget openly. Always be fully present. Your wedding day will go by in the blink of an eye. Make memories and enjoy every single moment.

September 10, 2019 at 6:57 AMMy mom said Nashville was a really fun place for a bachelorette party. I had mine in Chicago, but I’ll have to visit Nashville again. It’s a decent drive from Atlanta.
