Krave It in Bayside, New York

I don’t recall how I heard of this place, I do remember finding the menu on the internet and immediately telling my friend we need to go. The menu items looked pretty cool and unique. Krave It is a sandwich shop and eatery also serving pizza, beer, and more. I held on to the menu in my browser for a while and when we finally got the opportunity to go we were both pretty amped.
Krave It is located on Bell Blvd. in Bayside, Queens. There are plenty of places to eat, shop, and hang in the area. They are one of the few that stay open very late. We easily found parking. The restaurant is family owned and getting ready to celebrate its 2 year anniversary. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere inside Krave It was vibrant. They were playing great music and I loved the murals on the wall as well as the chalk art menu.

Our main reason for going to Krave It was to try their speciality pizzas. They have so many it was hard to choose from the menu. Of course they have cheese, pepperoni, and margarita pizza, but we didn’t go there for that even though I am a sucker for a good margarita. Looking at the menu and the pizza didn’t make choosing very easy. We did find out we didn’t have to order by the pie as the menu suggests, but could get slices.

I could be here all day telling you all the speciality pizzas they have. One that stood out was called the Homer Simpson. The pizza has homemade meatballs, glazed donut, bacon, maple syrup, and jack cheddar cheese. We were full from what we ordered and didn’t get around to that. If you want general tso chicken or brussel sprouts on your pizza they have got you covered! I also love the names of all the food they sell. They have great creativity!

While attempting to decide what to order we were given the Mactastic to try, which is their number one selling pizza. It is 4 cheese mac and cheese with chipotle sauce, and fresh cilantro. I was a little hesitant, but it was really good. The chipotle sauce kicked in, I had no water yet, but I held it down!

We then ordered some root beer honey bbq wings and the Krave It FCW, which is deep fried chicken, homemade waffles, sharp cheddar cheese, with maple syrup. Lifting it up to eat you can smell the syrup and taking a bite, it was so delicious. I am not the biggest fan of root beer, but the wings were delicious as well and came with celery. I loved how they served it in a bowl.

Of course we had to get dessert, Fried Oreo Pizza! That was absolutely delicious. My first bite was filled with Oreos. They don’t skimp on ingredients whatsoever. We had all our slices cut in half, so the actual slices are a great size, giving you even more ingredients then you would have expected. The speciality pizza slices are $4.50 each and worth it!

I will definitely go back. They have so many things to try and I want some more Fried Oreo Pizza. Even if you just want a beer, salad, or a sandwich, Krave It is the place. I also saw they have Sunday brunch with a DJ. I will have to go back and check that out! If you are ever in Bayside, Queens, or even the NYC area for that matter, you must stop by!

Have you ever been to Krave It?

Joanna
It was amazing!!!!! Unique and rich tasting. I recommend splitting the slices with a friend so you can try more than one 😉

Hi Holly,
Thanks for this post. I’ve only been to New York once but there were tons of places to eat. This one adds to the list. Fried Oreo Pizza!!??!? With so many choices how can you choose just once or even just a few. Thanks for giving a snapshot of the menu as well. I wish more people did so as it just helps with getting ideas of what’s served!
Cheers,
Holly Dayz
New York has enough places to never eat at the same place again for years lol. The choices they have are cool. The fried Oreo pizza was so good. That was just one side of the menu too.

General Tso chicken pizza? OMG, I am now so hungry. Krave It is such a cool name, too. Looks like a fantastic eatery to try on my next NYC visit.
Holly Dayz
Yea they even had tikka masala pizza. All kinds. This place is a must try.
Rachael
Love finding new places to try while traveling and this one will definitely make the list…you had me at Oreo pizza! <3
Holly Dayz
They had me at that as well.

Krave fits for sure — fried chicken and waffle syrup? OMG, I want it now!
Holly Dayz
It was delicious!!

I haven’t been to Krave but I do like creative pizza. The foody folks are finding ways to put together tastes on a pizza that blow you away. I absolutely agree that, when you find a shop like this, it’s hard to pick just one kind of pizza. So many good choices out there.
Holly Dayz
They had so many options. Its great we got slices and cut the slices in half.

My parents used to live in Bayside and my in-laws still live in Little Neck. I will definitely have to try this next time we go for a visit!
Holly Dayz
Oh wow awesome. Go check them out next time you visit.

Amazing choice of pizza, I would love to go there as I am bored of all the standard ingredients people put on their pizza. The fried oreo pizza is something I have to try, it looks simply yummy.
Holly Dayz
Agreed. It is always the same. It was cool to try new things.

I have to be honest and say this sounds awful to me. Yet, unique. I’d probably stop by just to SEE it.
Holly Dayz
You would be missing out to not try it. You would be surprised.

Looks yummy and hip. The food does look special and I hope they taste great when I try them myself, too!
Holly Dayz
I think you would enjoy it. They have so many speciality pizzas to choose from.

OMG dessert pizza is my all time weak spot!! Fried Oreo Pizza???!! Sounds divine!!
Holly Dayz
It was so good! I am still thinking about it over a week later.

That place looks gorgeous! Do you remember if they had any vegan options, by any chance? I love the name, too!
Holly Dayz
They had all kinds of stuff. The menu was insanely long. You should definitely give their site a view.

Oh man, you had me at pizza. I am a hard core pizza lover and this place sounds just like heaven or “Disneyland” for me. I can’t believe the specialty pizzas are only $4.50 a slice! That’s actually not bad! The Mactastic pizza looks so delicious. It would be so hard not to order all the pizza off the menu to try it.
Holly Dayz
I love pizza myself. Sometimes I think I eat too much of it. We couldn’t believe the price either. Especially since they don’t skimp on the ingredients. They were all so delicious.

One of my favorite pizza places in NJ makes an awesome baked ziti pizza, but doesn’t look nearly as dank as that Mactastic! I’d have to give that a try. The oreo one gives me pauses, but I’ll take your word for it that it’s delicious 🙂
Holly Dayz
The Oreo one was very good. Still thinking about it over a week later.

Absolutely fantastic, I just love pizza. And how about deep fried chicken seems very spicy that will really add a great taste.
Holly Dayz
The deep fried chicken wasn’t spicy at all. It was really good.

It’s a shame I have only been to Manhattan period I am definitely putting Queens and this lovely restaurant on my list.

That menu is huge! No wonder it was so hard to pick out what you wanted.

That pizza looks so good. I could use a good slice of NYC from a neighborhood pizza joint. I love the variety so yes I would share with a friend so we can try several.

NY has the best pizza in the US! I never been to Krave it yet but when I get up there for the summer I will make it my mission to get some!
