Atlantic City, New Jersey has plenty of hotels to stay at. My last few times in Atlantic City, we stayed at Harrah’s Resort. This time around we stayed by the beach at Ocean Resort. I wish the weather was better to enjoy the beach, but it was still a nice time.
As I said, the Ocean Casino Resort is located right off the beach. You can step out the hotel and right on to the boardwalk and then the beach! So if this is of importance to you, then this is one of the hotels near the beach you should consider. The hotel is also not too far from Steel Pier and the Tanger Outlets.
Ocean Casino Resort Hotel
Upon arrival, because it is still COVID times, we were met with a guard and a quick temperature check. What I really appreciated it was, it was a quick walk to the front desk to check in. They don’t have you do a long walk through a casino from the parking lot to get to check in. We arrived in the evening so there wasn’t much of a line, but there was barely anyone at the front desk either, so we had to wait a bit.
The decor around the hotel is beautiful. Very picture worthy. We walked over to the elevator banks dedicated to our tower and floor and was welcomed by a friendly guard and more beautiful decor. My ears kept popping every-time we would go up in the elevator as we were on the 42nd floor.
We had a King Water view room. It was so dark and foggy that we couldn’t see out the window at all. It almost made me wonder if we even had a view at that point. I was happy when I woke up the next morning and the fog had cleared to reveal the ocean, boardwalk, and Steel Pier from the floor to ceiling windows.
The room has a doorbell and a button you can press to let people know not to disturb rather than the typical door sign. There was a really nice full length mirror across from the bathroom with 2 sinks. I really wish the bathroom had a bath tub, but the walk in shower with bench was nice. A rain shower would have really set it off!
The bed was pretty comfortable, especially the pillows. Underneath the desk area was a fridge which came in handy. There was also 2 swivel chairs and a table near the windows that I enjoyed sitting in and looking out at the beach, even though it was gloomy. The room is spacious and nice, although I could hear toilets flushing from other rooms and the hallway got a bit noisy considering we were on the end, but also not that far from the elevators.
The Ocean Resort Hotel has many amenities for guests to enjoy while staying there. For some the casino is an obvious one, but if you are like me and don’t really gamble, there is plenty of other things. There are many restaurants to choose from, sit down and to go. We went to Wahlburgers and took the food back to the room to eat, it was delicious!
Rest and relaxation can be had at the 40,000 square foot, Exhale Spa. There are jetted pool, jacuzzis, and a Himalayan Salt grotto. There are also plenty of places to go shopping if you forgot something or just looking for certain items. Clothes, jewelry, watches, handbags, and more can be purchased.
Ocean Resort has an indoor and outdoor pool for hotel guests only. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi can also be used in the winter. I saw the steam coming off the water. If you are into going to nightclubs and beach clubs, the hotel offers that as well! You can even get food and drinks while over looking the pool and beach or rent out a cabana.
The largest TopGolf Swing Suite in America is located here. The beach, steel pier, and boardwalk are steps away. There are also gardens to walk through with beautiful views of the ocean. Fire pits and tables with benches are all around to enjoy while relaxing or eating outside when the weather is nice.
So if you are looking for a nice hotel to stay in when visiting Atlantic City, I would definitely recommended you take the Ocean Resort Hotel into consideration. I would love to go back and experience more!
